Early morning on the 18th of April we packed my in-laws SUV to the max and headed out on the road. For the next 11 hours I had to entertain a two year old! I had huge anxiety leading up to this trip on how well Lennox was going to handle being in a vehicle for so long. We did stop half way through for a quick lunch but either than that we were in the car. To my, and everyone else's, surprise Lennox did amazing! Here is a quick list of items that kept her entertained.
1. Downloaded episodes of Peppa Pig on the Ipad (screen time doesn't count when your travelling)
2.Coloring pages and crayons
3.Little toys like little people animals
4.Lots and Lots of books (you will reread the same one over and over again)
5.Snacks! On the way there I was super organized and had healthy snacks, the way back not so much (bear paws and apple sauce)
6.A baby doll and a bottle
7. For a last resort item CANDY! (luckily I didn't have to use this but I did pack just in case I needed too stop a melt down, I am not against bribing my child when I can not walk away)

Once we arrived in Edmonton it was around 7 pm and we were all pretty exhausted. Just a nice night in relaxing and ordering pizza. The following day we headed to the Telus World of Science! It was a must see for all ages! They have so many interactive things for everyone and we even got to see a short IMAX movie about super dogs! Lennox's favorite part of this day was probably the free popcorn!
Saturday we went with Mitch's brother to the West Edmonton Mall! I got an amazing deals on clothes for Lennox at Old Navy (everything was 50% off)! I will post pictures below of what I bought her. I did get myself two tank tops but nothing fun to look at, not as fun as little girl clothes(we even got a cute sleeper for baby)! Lennox loved the "bigg ship" which was the pirate ship. She also loved watching the skaters and the zamboni on the indoor ice rink. By far though her favorite thing was when Uncle bought her a giant lollipop!
We woke up Sunday to a big surprise! The Easter bunny came!! After Lennox found all her eggs from the Easter bunny, the whole family packed up and we went to the Edmonton Valley Zoo! This zoo was pretty cool and probably Len's favorite part of the entire trip as she (in her words) got to "see animals"! After the zoo we went back to Uncle Nathan's house for a turkey dinner.
Monday was the day we were going to go home but Mitch's dad ended up getting the flu and could not get out of bed. This day actually turned out to be my favorite day as Lennox, Mitch and I got to spend it just the three of us! We went shopping and out for a nice lunch at Earls. One cool thing we did this day was go to Canadian Tire! Sounds lame but this Canadian Tire is the biggest one in North America and has two stories!

Tuesday morning we woke up and luckily Papa was feeling good enough to travel. It took us roughly 11 hours to get home with one stop for lunch. Once again Lennox was an amazing traveler! I hope you enjoyed this post and maybe if you ever find yourself in Edmonton you will remember this and venture out to some of the awesome places we were lucky to go to.
